Current Status of LAPLOP Rabbitry
2020 BIO SECURE AND VACCINATED RABBITRY
LAPLOP takes great pride in our well built, clean and bio secure facility. We continue to breed and offer high quality show and breeding stock in both breeds. We love this hobby and will continue doing our part to provide you with healthy well bred, beautiful and healthy rabbits for establishing competitive herds. I am retired and in no way do I need to sell rabbits. I have a firm personal commitment to improve our American Fuzzy Lops across the country. The only way to accomplish that is to offer breeding animals that will consistently improve your herds. I inherited Gabrielle’s herd of Holland Lops which has been very competitive. Additionally LapLops Red Holland project is thriving.
COLOR PROJECTS
Additionally I have had a strong interest in breeding color projects for more variety in the American Fuzzy Lop. LapLop has offered highly competitive Otters and has had a herd of gorgeous AFL chinchillas. Congratulations to Drew Bliss and Cory White who have taken LapLops chinchilla program. Lately LapLop has bred a strong line of shadeds, including REWs, sable points and siamese sables. We even have a pointed white doe who may provide our breed with that color option, in time.
BREEDING PHILOSOPHY
In order to effectively breed highly competitive AFLs as well as color projects, LapLop focused originally on developing and maintaining extremely competitive show stock in the tort variety. Through a great deal of LUCK and hard work, meticulous selection, dedicated line breeding and extensive research we moved from newbies to BEST IN SHOW 2019 National convention in about 6 years.
MENTORING
Gabrielle developed many associations with some of the top breeders in the US in both the Holland Lop and American Fuzzy Lop while she pursued this hobby. We learned early that a mentor was an incredible resource for success in this hobby. Thank you so much to Nate Burbidge, Carol Green, Paula Grady and Shari Albrecht, all of whom made a huge impact in Gabrielles AFL herd.
In 2015 Gabrielle won the trio that Nate and Carol had donated to the AFL Raffle at Convention. The following year LapLop donated to the AFL Nationals where a youth, Alaina Franchi won the trio. Please go to the tab YOUTH SUPPORT, and learn what an impact LapLop has made in other youth fuzzy herds. We are so proud to be able to give back to this hobby that meant so much to Gabrielle in her young life. Sharing is a way of life for me. I am happy to share fuzzy lop and rabbit health insights all day long!

FOUNDATIONAL STATUS AND STATEMENTS OF PURPOSE 2010
by Gabrielle Hibbert
by Gabrielle Hibbert
Here at LapLop Rabbitry, our goal is to breed show quality Holland Lop, American Fuzzy Lops and Britannia Petites. We have been raising nationally competitive rabbits since 2011. We maintain a 96 hole rabbitry on 10 acres in Loveland, Colorado. LapLop Rabbitry is owned and operated by Gabrielle Hibbert and Linda Hibbert. We work as a team, however Gabrielle mainly focuses on Holland Lops and Britannia Petites, while Linda primarily focuses on American Fuzzy Lops.
I am Gabrielle Hibbert. I just turned 18 so will be entering the Open shows starting January 2017. I am a member of several clubs including: ARBA, PPRBA, RMHS, PRRF, SCRBA, HLRSC, AFLRC and ATRSC and have been breeding show quality rabbits since 2011. So far, our breeding program has brought us great success. In 2014 at the ARBA convention we took Best of Breed with a Holland Lop Broken Junior Buck, LapLop's Thor. We also took Best of Variety with our herdsire, Holland Lop Solid Senior Buck, Woodland's Aslan. In the American Fuzzy Lops we took Best Opposite Sex Variety with a Solid Senior Buck, Burb's Treasure. In 2015 at the Holland Lop Nationals LapLop Rabbitry took Best of Breed with a broken Junior Buck, LapLop's Panda and Best Oppostite Sex of Breed, with a solid junior doe, LapLop's Adelia. At the 2015 ARBA Convention, in the Holland Lops we took 15 placements in the top ten and took 1st place solid senior doe with LapLop's Hanna. We also took Best of Breed with LapLop's Rapunzel and Best Opposite of Breed with Jackson, in the American Fuzzy Lops. In 2016 at AFL Nationals we took BOB with LapLop's Rapunzel. At Holland Lop Nationals, 2016, we took Best Opposite Sex of Variety with LapLop's Trojan. At the 2016 Convention, in the Holland Lops we took Best Opposite Sex of Variety with LapLop's Party Girl and almost every Holland shown placed in the top 10.
I am very excited to learn as much as I can about all types of rabbits as I pursue my goal of becoming a judge while maintaining a herd of Holland Lops, Britannia Petites and American Fuzzy Lops. I love reading and will read any rabbit book or article that comes my way.
I want to send a special thank you out to Bill and Laureen Wark for their support in the Holland Lops and also for their wonderful buck Woodland's Aslan which gave us a more than perfect start for the Holland Lops. I would also like to send out a thank you to Nate Burbidge for that special American Fuzzy Lop buck, Treasure. There are many other people that I need to thank including, but not limited to: Shari and Sam Albrecht, Sarah Mayberry (formerly Sarah Bloink), Karen Legino, Marlo Byars, Ethan Bruni, Scott Rodriguez, Kelly Cravens, Chris Zemny, Cody LeBlanc, Jeremy Troche, Shelly Rowland, Kathy and Timothy Brasby, Allan and Becky Ormond, Carol Green, Dawn Ross, Rob and Paula Grady, Mark Taylor, Carol Tank, Kevin Stanford, Keirstyn Benson, Tara Harris, Allen Mesick, Annabelle Ward, Corrine Quisenberry and many many more! Thank you all for your support and help! Without you all I would be no where. You guys are awesome and so so helpful! Thank you all for being such good friends and mentoring me along the way.
I would also like to thank my family who has supported this passion of mine, especially my grandparents (Linda & Papa EG; Papa & Noni), and my mother and my father. Thank you all!!
I love to talk bunny and discuss Holland Lops, Britannia Petites, American Fuzzy Lops or any breed of rabbits with anyone.
